Mods & Keeping Warranty?

hey all,

recently I purchased a fg xrt ute and am wanting to do a few mods but need a little help to know what I can and can't do to it while still keeping the warranty valid.

this is what I would like to do;

* lower it

* wheels

* flash tune and maybe custom tune as well to make sure all is well

* exhaust (just something to make it purr a little)

* blow off valve, want some pssshhhhhhh noise. im getting bored lol.

so that's pretty much all I would want to do, I briefly asked one of the sales guys at a ford dealer and he said I would only be aloud to get some wheels and that's it. otherwise no more warranty :( what can I do any help appreciated.

Depends very much on your relationship with your dealer.....

But when it comes down to it and hits the proverbial ANY modification will void what ever part it is associated with....or can be associated with.....

iv done heaps of mods.. but recently I had a faulty driver window.. wudnt go down/broke and they fixed it witout any hassel.. just depends on the part they are fixing under warrenty.. if u flash tuned it and pushed more boost thru and something happend to the turbo.. they wouldnt even look at your.. but yeah as dag said "ANY modification will void what ever part it is associated with....or can be associated with"

I think the justification is something along the lines of whatever you modify... if something breaks that is linked to the mod then you are not covered. It kind of rules out most things when you put more power into the car because that reflects on all parts like the trans, engine, turbo, drivetrain so on so on.
