Hi guys,

just after some advice, I have a set of premium brembo brakes (the six spot calipers and rotors) which I am fitting to my ba xr6t. I am currently shopping for a set of deep dished 20's. Unfortunatly non of the shops that I have been too can give me solid answer on the offset that I will need to run so they dont clash with the brembos.

I am hoping someone here has worked it out and can tell me.

p.s. is there a topic on here dedicated to pics of falcons with upgraded wheels?

thank for all your help

Not sure if this one will be an easy one to answer for most of us and I can't really answer it either. I think you'll find the offset of the wheel and also the design of the wheel will be the deciding factors as to whether they'll fit over Brembo's. Quite a few of the more expensive light weight wheels are designed to fit over large brake setups but the cheaper wheels not so much.

Might be best to select the exact wheel you want and then go from there.

Standard BA/BF and FG offset is +36

As Benny Said it really does come down to offset as well as the spokes for the rims.. you just have to go and literally have the tried on before you buy at the end of the day.

typically Australian made (except for ROH and Simmons which you can get custom offset, 3 piece wheels made to order) and Taiwanese wheels have limited offsets available for each stud pattern. So if they style you like doesn't fit you brakes you have buckles chance in them having a different offset typically.

As other have said you will have a lot more luck in looking into Japanese wheels (WORK, VOLK RACING, RACING HART, WEDS, RAYS etc) as they typically make heaps of different offsets for the falcon PCD which is the as Nissan and other popular RWD Jap cars that run wider wheels/different offsets on the front and rear. The problem you will encounter there though is most "Tuner" wheels are no bigger than 19 inches, Also do not expect to get much change out of 1k AUD (due to how our dollar is performing) per rim.

sorry I couldn't of been of more help

mark.

Thank you very much for your help boys. Looks like I am ging to have some fun finding wheels.....Especially when I cant fit the brakes to the car until I have the wheels, cause they will not fit under the 17" that are on the car at the moment. thanks heaps anyway.

I'm fairly sure that the vertini hennessy rims clear the brenbo's.

They are a flash looking rim aswell.

Absolutely AWESOME looking rim, for sure.

They'd be my #1 choice if I was getting 20's.

There was a thread the other day talking about these rims I think. Buggered if I can find it now though :P
