Have run my "T" out of fuel 3 times now. Don't trust the DTE, never did. But mine has run out of fuel while the guage is around the 1/8, a couple of mm above empty. Have argued it out with my service centre but they reckon I'm full of it. At least I'm getting my dollars worth from Ford Roadside.

tintR> Everycar I have owned did the same thing to me, from full to half, the car does a lot of kms but from half to empty the needles just flies down. I have no idea why though.

comes down to the shape of the tank I think, my magna was reverse, flew through the first half then the second half lasted ages,

fuel tanks arent a perfect square/rectangle container, I would suggest that the BA tank is narrower at the bottom.

The bloody chirping at 80km is enough for me to give the 'hawk' a drink. :D

Geez these cars (with the radar detector as well) cheep and chirp more than a bush full of budgies.

The last two times just before I filled my tank the warning chirp didn't go off at 80km's DTE...

I checked it at 66, and 74, no chimes. Only the fuel warning light came on.
