Id suggest using injector cleaner a bit more often and you also might wanna look at changing your plugs. You could also clean your throtle body as well

Another thing that could help would be to give your car a good hard run.

Funnily enough I agree. Some people may say that its best to baby your car, but I've found my car runs best after I've givin it a hiding.

I don't mean smashing it against the rev limiter, doing donuts, but I mean letting it rev, stretching its legs a little bit.

My car has almost 150,000kms and was neglected for a while while it was the missus car while I bussed it to work but since then I've:

Changed oil

Changed oil filter

Changed fuel filter

High flow air filter

Cleaned boost solenoid a number of times

Changed to 0.8mm plugs

Ran a couple of injector cleaners through it

Only run it on 98ron fuel

Cleaned Throttle Body a number of times

Cleaned oil out of turbo inlet

Cleaned out crossover and connected hoses (found a lot of slimey stuff along the inside walls of the hoses)

Tightened manifold/turbo bolts numerous times

Reset cam timing and reset ECU

And it's purring like a content kitten now.

Give those things a go and see how the car feels.

Thanks antigravity, I've just purchased a second hand T yesterday and while the performance is exhilarating enough as is I suspect it might need a bit of a going over...beyond what the dealer did for it over the few days it was there, hahaha. I'm printing this list :)

Good luck turbo06x2!

Glad I was able to help!

I reckon they're great cars as well. Only thing that lets them down is their handling when stock, and the build quality.

If my car didn't make so much noise over bumpy roads, I'd love it to death.

Yeah it's a bit noisy, but I love my music so that tends to distract me from the noise.

I'm rapidly becoming annoyed at all the bumps in the roads though, speedbumps you can't see at night as you turn into a servo and bottom out...drive through Maccas with speed bumps that scrape even though I'm going like 5Km/h...must be the fat mates hahahahaha...

Guess I have to park and walk in next time - or avoid the Mc all together, I don't like their junk anyway :D

But yeah, so low! Damn cheap roads >_<
