Hey guys,

I need some advise to work out a proble I have been experiencing of late, the car seems to have a flatspot between 3-4k and when I load it up ie. putting it in 4th at 60km and accel. as soon as it hits 3000 it starts to miss.. im running a 10psi cv custom and I have changed plugs from the wrx ones to gapped ford ones and I have replaced all 6 coils... the car has a full tank... of ultimate 98 as well

thanks heaps guys

Mate it could be a lot of things. But I had something similiar(not quite the same mine would do it at different rpm).

Mine turned out to be dodgy fuel pump. Just a guess mate.

Hope ya get it sorted

Sounds like the EXACT same problem I had and I changed the plugs and it sorted it out.

Does it only do it when its under load, ie foot down a bit, when over 3K revs???

How old are the plugs??? Why get rid of the WRX ones??? Aren't they better than the ford ones???

Maybe take it to CV and get them to diagnose it rather than spend money and time on stuff that may not fix it.

yes it does excatly when it hits3000, if I accelerate from 1/4 to 1/2 it seems to bog and flat spot until 3500-400 and then takes off... I have access to another pump so I will swap them around and if there is no difference then off to the tuners I go

the wrx plugs were only 2 months old, I thought the car didnt like them as it started about the time I put them in so I went back to the ford plug and regapped..
