I was able to compare my Racechrono to the natsoft timing at Wakefield some weeks ago.

My best time on natsoft was a 1:12.1920. My Racechrono showed a 1:12.19 for that same lap.

Through the day it was correct to 1/100th quite consistently, only dropping to 1/10th on a couple of laps.

Not bad.

13.5 same as at the drags. Lots of slip and spin.

Getting that fixed though so the times should come down now.

Hey guys, long time since I been here.

I'm hooking this up with my phone for laps at Phillip Island on the motorbike which I'm doing 3-4 time a month at the moment. Guy I'm getting the setup through is setting it all up with an external gps receiver which is more accurate than just the phone one. Lap times are important for me to have as accurate as possible.

If anyone else wants to look as this setup go to www.bitchnbitumen.com.au

I found the 1/4 mile timer a bit annoying that it just won't reset as soon as the car is stationary, rather it plots 16 points so if you try half way through a run it messes it up. Other than that it is great, I love logging a long drive through the countryside :)

And call me bad but I was desperately trying to time the Boeing 767's accerleration once but unfortunately it wouldn't connect to any sattelites.

I got a new samsung smartphone from the U.S. toiday a i907 with GPS. Its awsome but any one with a windows based smartphone with GPS should get this software.

RaceChrono - The GPS Lap Timer

1/4 mile 0-100 etc pretty accurate especially with an external gps.

but you'd better have self control though. (I think there is a xp version and you can use an external gps for $20 and do the same thing).

BTW a new auto v8 caprice (not that much heavier than an SS), does 0-100 in 6.9 which is a bit disapointing cant wait to test mine (although the take off will be tricky).

use this page to check the details:

All on a private driveway btw (love living on acres)
