[F6 R Spec]

If you are thinking of putting a tow bar on your F6, this might be useful.

Since I bought my F6 R Spec, I have been wanting to put a tow bar on it. But was concerned about the finish around where the bar protrudes through the rear bumper. After speaking to a few of the FPV dealers here in Brisbane, the common answer I got was “FPV do not make a kit for the F6, can get one for the GT, but not the F6.” “We have put XR6 ones on F6’s and just put the black edge trim around the hole and they look okay”.

Well after a little searching and some help from Phoon Hoon, I have tracked down the Ford Part number for a towbar kit specifically for the F6.

BAF 19A009FA

This kit includes the bar, the tongue and the plastic end caps to put around the cut out in the bar. Kit sells for about $360.00 + fitting.

The only other thing you might need is the wiring harness; this is a must if you have reverse sensors fitted. The factory harness will disable the sensors when a trailer is connected.

I'm really happy with it and would think it would be hard to get much better - could be wrong though!

F6_R_Spec - I just checked the box mine came in and it is the same - BAF 19A009FA.... so....

Thinking of painting out the towbar neck to blend it in more as I only need to tow a few times per year. A pre-requisite of the missus getting the car was that it could tow - otherwise I wouldn't have fitted it. Hope this helps...

I'm in the same boat as you, will only be towing a few times a year, still not sure if I can bring myself to cut the Bar
