Stuck the car in reverse tonight and noticed a sort of harmonic knocking sound, like a rolling knock similiar to the rattle my manual F6 made when the clutch was depressed, coming from around the lower firewall area, bloody strange because it wasn't there yesterday. It will do it by putting it in reverse and letting it idle with the handbrake on :dontknow: . The car drives fine and doesn't do it in forward gears. Also been raining hard in WA WA land and opened the boot this morn to find a nice little puddle sitting on the drivers inside of the boot, did I read somewhere that BFse prone to having leaky boots? .

Maybe my new plenum inspired Kws have twisted the chassi and the ZF :spit:

Any Ideas anyone

Cheers

Yeah loose flexplate for sure doc.

Mine did it after a run at the drags and I must say it sounded very nasty.

The bolts were not even loctited and the flexplate holes were flogged out, see attached pic.

To fix it buy a new flexplate and bolts, remove the box, swap the flexplate and fit the box back up, it took me about 3 hours to do on a hoist.
