I backed the nut off and re-tightened it, but made no difference, I can move it in/out slightly and side to side. When I do this it weeps a little power steering fluid......? I dont really have the time to dump the power steering fluid and remove the line to inspect it. Any one else struck this issue? Edited 16/04/08 10:05 PM by hanra

But still curious. Had it running this morning, didnt appear to be leaking while at idle.

Inside the fitting is an oring and a spring clip that clips into a groove in the end of the pipe. This design allows the fitting to be installed on the pump and when the car is assembled all the assembler has to do is push the pipe into the fitting and it "clicks" into place.Ford will tell you that the fitting cannot be replaced if it develops a leak and a new hose is required(aprox $400) if your handy with a dremel or junior hacksaw you can cut the old swivel nut off and install a new fitting. I did my mum's au forte last year and it cost about $45 for the fitting and only took about half an hour to replacecheersLuke

Just had the 75,000km service today and they called to tell me the hose was stuffed which cost me $400.00 odd fitted. Even they agreed the hose was fcuken expensive!!
