Irregular Idle

Featured Replies

hey guys

I have an 03 T 5sp and when I tap the throttle at idle it idles up to 1500rpm (sometimes more sometimes less) then just drops back to idle

its the same when its in gear I can lift off throttle and it will still drive for about 5 seconds then it starts slowing down.

Has this happned to anyone else?? or possible issues I changed plugs a few weeks ago to 8mm gapped but its still on stock tune only mods are k&n pannel filter and centre muff removed but these were done a fair while ago

THANKS

Similar thing happened to me. It was the TPS out of calibration. Try holding the accelerator flat to the floor and crank the engine over. It shouldnt start. Then start the car as normal. That fixed it for me. Hope it helps

My understanding was holding your foot flat to the floor, puts the car into flood clear mode and reset the cam phasers not the tps. I thought the TPS had to be done with the WDS tool?
