I just did one today and I recon that it could be done in 30min. It took me 1.5hrs but I removed a sh*t load of stuff that dident need removing. I have seen on here that a lot of people have had work done or needed to remove dashes( duel climent controll). I was lucky I had the guards of so that may have saved time.Remove neg batt lead first then in side the cab, all you have to do is remove steering wheel bottom cover, unplug all harnesses on collum then undo 4 bolts that hold collum in place, let it drop down then un bolt were it joins at the fire wall (be carefull of a little plastic clip when you pull it out). Remove the covers at both ends of the dash to expose the 4 bolts (2 each end) you have to remove your center console wich is a few screws.First start as per removal of icc but stop at the plugs of the icc, there are 2 screws at the rear sides of the console and in my case a 5 speed 2 screws were the shifter is then pull unit out. This should expose a bolt fasing from the drivers side that holds the front of the dash in. There is 1 bolt at the left side of the drivers foot well on an angle ,remove that.I now recomend unpluging both harnesses on both sides so that the only thing you have left is what is attached to the 2 whith plastic cup looking things behind both kick panels. Just below the top hindge on the body of the car were the door bults to there is a bolt (both sides) remove it and it is very long. This should just leave you the 4 bolts exposed when you took of those side panells befor, remove them and that's it the dash will come out airbag, icc, inst cluster and all. As I said I dont know if you can get to the bult under the hindge without removing the guards first(I am prity sure you will) as my guards were allready of. I will post pics when I re-install the dash, maby even a quick video. Tools neaded 8mm, 10mm maby 13mm sockets extention and driver, phillips head and blade screwdrivers and a work light. You did undo it didnt you monkey. It lives under the little panel between the 2 windsreen vents and should only be undone 3 turns and not removed completly.I have done sh*t loads of these dashs and yeah can have them out and in pretty quick after doing a few especially with the use of battery screwdriver and 3\8 rattle gun. 9 bolts in total hold the dash in and dont forget the airbag module plug on the passenger side of centre lower part of dash near where centre console ends. Yes you can get to the end bolts with the guards on. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/44297-removing-a-dash/#findComment-668172 Share on other sites

ebxmple Member 1,322 Member For: 17y 5m 12d Posted 01/05/08 03:58 AM Share Posted 01/05/08 03:58 AM Sounds like its stuck to the sound deadening foam. Reach your hand around under the windcreen end of the dash and pull the foam away.
