For the the R-Spec S**t canners out there, any of these problems can happen to any F6, T or any Ford on any production line.

As you can see these problems are not related to suspension, or wheels which is the only thing different between these cars the rest of the F6's on the road.

As to the types of problems - one seems to be a simple computer issue and mine seems to be extreme driving conditions, and heat - hardly a reason to call them all :secret: !

It just so happens that most of the car owners here are passionate and vocal, so the problems come out on the table.

If you look at it closely, the rate of problems between any of the Turbo, or even non turbo models seems to be about the same - and less than what the Expensive Daewoo websites are reporting with the billion $VE!

Anyways, thanks for the feedback F6Rdodg'nroos - I'll keep that in mind a menton it to the dealer. I had the car towed to the dealers last night and it worked fine for them in the shop so today I picked it up, came home, locked it, then came back to it in about an hour to unlock and NOTHING - again! So the inlaws are down looking at my new car that I bought because my other car keeps breaking down and I can't take them for a drive in it. Tomorrow I have the rest of the family coming so I'm feeling like taking a sledgy to the b@stard :omg: . I actually feel like rolling the thing down the road so I don't have to explain the reason why I can't take anyone for a drive. A-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y gutted...

I guess it'll have to get towed again and this time I'm leaving it at the dealers until they replicate the problem. I just keep telling myself it's a probably going to be a simple fix that I'll never experience again - just hoping...

MADF6 - it may just be a module seating problem - with contact between the points in the chip modules- I had the exact same problem with a Discovery3 last year, using FORD computer components sourced from the same place. And its not a difficult fix, they either make sure they fit properly or they put in new ones.

Don't forget the leather seats, the R Spec mats and the R Spec numbered badge. At least none of them can break :hay:

The VE is soooo sh*t its not funny! I dispatch mechanics for Expensive Daewoo roadside assist and with the amount of problems these things have you really have to wonder where they spent that billion dollars! Maybe they spent it at the pub while they were designing the stupid thing!

The R-SPEC also has 'Thunder Storm Grey' rear spoiler pillars as well, which the normal F6's don't have.

Incorrect. My centre console lid is getting replaced under warranty as it has a bump under the leather. LOL!

Oh and also my the little FPV symbol has come off on one of my RSPEC mats!

Mate, I hope so too - It sucks having sh*t like this happen when its brand spankin, especially when it works at the dealership - and they look at ya like - what's the problem, I feel ya pain! Last week they had my car a week and tried to lay the 10hrs labour they spent trying to find the problem with it on me! They reckon Ford wont pay the dealer for it because they couldn't fault it - Give me FARKIN break!

Either way it's a warranty issue, don't take the sledgy to it just yet!

And I didn't mean to start a "whats the difference between an R Spec and std F6" thread. My point above is that apart from basically suspension, these things are basically the same machine and subject to the same mechanical and computer issues.

But as XRdose pointed out, it is still better than a Bommodore!

I hope you get it sorted quickly!
