Hey,

I was talking to a friend yesterday and he told me that putting drilled stock injectors in a xr6 turbo does the same job and performance as getting aftermarket ones... is that true???

Cheers,

You can not mach the flow of fuel in each injector if you drill them out due to the veriation in hole size and concentricty of the hole. Your tunner will probley appreciate new larger injectors as it will be much easier and will give you a better resolt at the end..

you can buy professionally drilled ones cant u?

I doubt anybody is stupid enough to do it themselves with a pistol drill....

Actually I am sure people would try it!

I am a toolmaker with 20 years experence and I would not drill them out. I have acess too 100k laths and I know that I would not be able to get the correct sizing and finish. I believe that new injectors are drilled bored and honed on both the seat area and the discharce bore thus making it extreamly hard to match the injectors to each other once being modified. But in saying that I would love to see how somebody can do it as you can allways learn something new......
