O2 Sensor

hey all this is probally a stupid question but, where abouts is the o2 sencor? car is running like sh*t and I need to change it....

Also where abouts is the fuel filter? is it on the tank or along the line somewhere??

The o2 sensor is on the exhaust manfold its not hard to see I believe, remember it plugs into a loom so you will need to add the correct plug.... I would have thought you would only need to change the o2 sensor when/if the engine light came on.

fuel filter is under the car just behind the passenger seat....I don't mean to hijack but does anyone know what a fuel filter costs

Ball park of ~$30 or so. I think it was lower but I'd have to go out to the car to find the receipt from my last service to find out but I remember thinking that the price was reasonable considering it came from the dealer.

Just one other thing probally been talked about b4, but with injectors is it worth getting new ones, or a clean or whats the deal with getting them up to performance again. How much does it cost is it a job for a qualified person or is it a simple job to do yourself. reason for this is because I took my TB off and noticied there was a lot of SH*T that has passed through. So im guessing the injectors are bad!!! Car not running as good as it could :(

Hello bloke , first up the gunk you notice is blow bye and is perfectly normal !!

Clean it out and reset your ECU - just disconnect the neg lead on the battery for about 10mins , and presto car should be good as new.. Tip some WYNNS spitfire cleaner (about $12.00) most shops in your tank every 3 months , injectors should be fine !!

also if its still running crap, try cleaning the O2 sensor with some electraclean or similar. mine was playing up and cleaning it fixed it

yeah car has done 160.000km 02 ba ute

gonna give it a tune up this weekend ill let you know how she runs

by the way what does resetting the ECU achieve??

reseting the ECU will result in the computer getting out of it's bad habbits (ie if its been driven soft for ages it would calibrate itself that way for more economy) also it might clear any faults that don't have to be cleared manually through an integrator.

Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong
