Tyres with silica are usually quieter though, and as plonky said, will grip better in the wet. The SP 9000 is the better tyre of the 2, hence the price difference. Usually the theory 'you pay for what you get' rings true.AndrewPS If you want to see the difference wheel size makes to handling, fit 18s to a car that usually runs on 16s...
