I'm planning on running into the tens this weekend, as to the fastest ford I think my cortina might qualify, it's the fastest cleveland powered streetcar in the world, 8.81 @ 155mph in street trim.

I read your post where you mentioned you hoped to get into the 10's this weekend. The best time you have done is 13.0@113mph and although you had wheelspin you managed to do a 2.0 second 60ft time. I dont mean to sound critical but even if you had slicks and with 1.7 - 1.8 60ft time you be doing well to do low 12's judging by the terminal speed. Have you been able to get a lot more hp out of your current setup without the nitrous kit ? What terminal speed are you hoping for ? I'd think you need at least 125mph ++ to break 11 seconds especially if you have wheelspin as you'll have to make up time in the top end of the strip. Anyway I think your doing a great job and it's good to hear of someone going into the unknown. It's a pitty the BA falcon weighs so much it will be interesting if Ford plan to go ahead with the 200kg weight reduction. A 200kg weight reduction would have to knock of at least a second over the 1/4 mile. Do you plan to use slicks this weekend ?

I'll be running slicks if I get them I time, when we ran 13.0 it was only on 8.8 lbs of boost, I'll be running between 10.8 and 17lbs depending wether I get time to fit the new accuator or not, when I ran 13.0 we we're only making around 350 at the tyres and now have 447hp, also the 60 foot was 2.2 and as a rule of thumb for each 10 tenth you drop in the 60foot this equals out to 3 tenths at the finish line. I won't be running any gas at all this time as I'm only interested in getting what it has now to hook up and perform. The gas kit was only fitted for more of a laugh than anything else, if I ever use it, it'll be for 60foot only.
