December 1, 200718 yr #1 Hey guys.Well started the car up this moring to go for a drive down to the shops and notice a strange noisecoming from the rear of the car. it sounds like a clicking kinda noise everytime the wheels goo round and round.when u go faster the clicking kinda noise goes faster slow down and the clicking goes slower.kinda like when you have a push bike and stick somthing in the spokes and keeps reflecting of the rims. if you get what I mean.ive check under the car and rims and everything seems to be fine.ive been having tailshaft and diff problems for a awhile now, and its gott alot worse now and every place I take it to say its becuase how low my car is. which could be a reason. but its not like low low like YPURV4 car its a nice low which I dont think is the problem. eg when I drive by myself or just 1 passanger and give the car a boot its drives fine.but add another person in the back of even 3 ppl in the car and give the car a boot it has this harsh feeling under the car and feels like the drivline or somthing is not spinning in a circler motion I dunno hard to explain its just doesnt feel good.now the car is making these weird noise from the diff area and I ask 1 of my machanic mates which he thinks its the CV joints.we drove the car and in gear (D) it makes the noise but slide it into (N) while the car still rolling and the noise goes away now im not sure on what to do now.any suggestion would be great. Thanks Carlos Edited December 1, 200718 yr by UNV3ME

December 1, 200718 yr #3 Author LMAO. So what Rob are you saying mine looks sh1t I dont think its CV's man, as they dont give any warning they just go BANG.hahaha na man urs is much tuffer man but to the people on here its probably a more smoother hight to drive in then say urs im guessing but I like the hard feeling so urs probably how I like it haha.well mine sits just over the tyres on 20s so its probably to low for alot of people but that how I like it.in regards to CV im not sure never blown 1 so I dunno what to expect. what else could be causeing it to make these noises?how does your car drive with a full car michael?
December 1, 200718 yr #4 Could be CVs mate... I know in FWD cars they start clicking as they get close to the end
December 1, 200718 yr #5 how does your car drive with a full car michael? It dosent, I did that once and it blew my CV's.I could maybe take 2 people + me but I couldnt drive it hard.
December 1, 200718 yr #6 It dosent, I did that once and it blew my CV's.I could maybe take 2 people + me but I couldnt drive it hard.It doesnt go hard anyways at the moment so it wouldnt matter would it
December 1, 200718 yr #7 If your mech mate wasn't Nick or Andrew, take it to either of them! They have done the work on your car, so they should be able to diagnose it. Nicks isn't that far from Narre, but Andrew, well I hear Jetstar are doing 5 cent fares. LOL
December 2, 200718 yr #8 Hi Rob,I would most probably think your CV's are on their way out thanks to lowering it on its as$! Although I have never experienced this, several tuner's have told me CV's will break sooner or later if you go really low as.Take Mike's case for an example. His CV's gave up and im pretty sure lowering it on its a$s with a full load MAY have played a significant part and with 300 kilowatts at the treads, I don't think that would have helped either? I hope I'm wrong but even though the lowering look's awesome, I would personally prevent than break as I have learnt in the past 2 month's. I'm quite lucky I didn't get my car lowered even further while it was at Nizpro getting the full rebuild. Thanks to Simon there, he advised me by lowering it further there may be a possibility of breaking the CV's as this puts quite a lot of stress/pressure on them. Therefore I left the beast as it is and I guess there are ways to make your car look lower like I have added a GT body kit with 20's which I think looks lower anyway and its alot safer for the car too.I hope your's is something minor though mate. just my 2 cent's buddy....... December 2, 200718 yr #9 LMAO. So what Rob are you saying mine looks sh1t I dont think its CV's man, as they dont give any warning they just go BANG.YPURV4, that's not true dude , when I blew mine the car still drove , but the right rear was osilating badly it was bouncing up and down like it had a blown shock.Carlos jack up the rear of your car, both wheels of the ground, with stands to support it start it take T/C off and put it in first you should see your right bouncing around like a kid that has drink a litre of red cordial, if that the case your CV is blown.pete
