the aftermarket head units ca nbe tricky to fit. It depends on how good the installer is, you could put it in the glovebox, or under the ac controls where the power source is...

Looks like it will have to be an aftermarket headunit fitting then..

Wont it be a pain fitting one if the aircon controls are a part of the original stereo unit?

Why bother with optical media and head units for MP3?

Flash media is cheap...

I just bought a tiny high quality MP3 player/2GB/with mini USB cable/3 silicone skins/ a preloaded MOS album/headphones/case/Li battery-12 hr/OLED display... for $49 :) at Dick Smith.

The player lives out of site under the tissue box. The silicone skin protects the car and the player from scratching.

The Ford iPod input has a spring loaded cable that enables you to pull the player out from under the dash; then it zips straight back under and out of sight. The mini usb enables in car charging.

Sounds brilliant.

Regards,

aa

:greddy2: then you don't have to hack up your dash!

In case someone wants to try the AUX input I got one siting around, I'll give it to whoever wants to pick it up from Fairfield.

iPod input is a much better option though, much louder.
