I have an issue which is annoying me no end. I have realised that there is a spider living behind the passengers side mirror. I find a web over mirror. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I use to have an Audi a4 with the same problem. I finally killed that spider as one day it to came out to make its web and I happened to catch it in the act. But no such luck with this spider.

So is there way to remove the mirror so I can get to this spider to kill it?

I find by putting one of those wd40 extension things on the can of raid and unloading the best part of a can works. if the wd40 extender doesnt fit try a small straw. moving the mirror to its limits should give you enough room to get the end of the extender/straw in there :fool:

yes I have thought of that. You can get mortein with a long narrow extension. I was just worried I may damage some thing electrical and than my mirror would not work.

I would get the Mortine surface spray that has the extension. Do not put much in as it will kill them with only a short squirt.

I have done it a few times on the TTG as it lives outside and has big mirrors.

To take the mirror off you need to, " Remove the Door Trim Panel, Remove the Mirror Trim Cover, unplug the power cable and remove the 3 screws and detach the Mirror ".

Big Job ! Just try to get some " Bug Killer " in to the Mirror unit. But don't over do it. The plastic my not like it.

You could always just blame the person who sold you the car. :wackit:

:spoton: Did he ever come back?
