Thanks for all the feedback guys. I agree that the Merc Silver is a fantastic colour, and it does seem to change colour with the sun, or at night etc. Looks like Ford has sorted out most of the paint quality issues now. I've currently got cobalt blue in my old XR, and although I love that, I'm looking for a change. Think I'm sold on the Merc Silver now!!!

My old liquid silver XR8 was great until I replaced the front bumper, the bumper looked different in certain light on certain angles, but I was told this would happen. Was one of the reasons I didn't get silver

Great colour, was the first one we saw in the range.

Even now after seeing all the others, still like Merc

the most. Was driving down the M1 towards the coast today, saw another one in next lane, boy, did it look fantastic. Threw yet another angle on the many angles I've seen of this car.

It really has a sophisticated, yet gruff stance and has made me appreciate that little bit more, the look of this

fantastic car, both on the road ( other ) and attached to my backside, looking out...

Highly recommended colour from our point of view.

Another good reason would be the inevitable day your car gets keyed. At least it the scratch would sort of match still :D

Great colour, I have no regrets at all. Have washed it several times and have only noticed 1 or 2 MINOR marks, the dealer wants to replace the rear skirt at the 3,000km mark because of 'mismatch', but I can't see it, so I'm going to tell them not to bother.
