They are weak as p*ss and when you get the modifying bug, a new 6 speed would be first on the list. At $6500 they're not cheap.The car your looking at is an auto, although they are tougher than the 5 speed they still need to be stripped and beefed up if your running big HP.Ideally a 6 speed auto or manual would be the go, both very strong boxes with no mods needed, although the manual would need a good clutch. Otherwise, tell the dealer that you'll take the car on the proviso that they fix the brakes and other things you want. Don't pick up or pay for the car until they have and make sure you write it into the contract.
