Steer clear of a five speed manual.

They are weak as p*ss and when you get the modifying bug, a new 6 speed would be first on the list. At $6500 they're not cheap.

The car your looking at is an auto, although they are tougher than the 5 speed they still need to be stripped and beefed up if your running big HP.

Ideally a 6 speed auto or manual would be the go, both very strong boxes with no mods needed, although the manual would need a good clutch.

Thanks again, not wanting to get into kneck-snapping power just yet, but have read about flash upgrades. something to look at if I want to just stand out a bit from the stock crowd? or exhaust? what kind of power gains to cost ratios are you looking there?

Cheers

The best value for money is the flash tuner, around 40-50 rwkw for a generic tune add exhaust, air filter, 2nd CAI, injectors and a custom tune and your looking at 300+

Remember that the 3 year ford warranty starts from the day of first rego, so if wasn't registered until dec 04, you'll have until december to claim. Otherwise, tell the dealer that you'll take the car on the proviso that they fix the brakes and other things you want. Don't pick up or pay for the car until they have and make sure you write it into the contract.

Thanks mate, how about regarding the price? Seems to me like a fairly good price with the k's and the rims/tyres, but would like your thoughts regarding what to offer for it.

thanks in advance
