yeah the pipe and the standard cooler are connected by a rubber hose, it can be hard to get on as there is a decent lip on the pwr pipe, but it cancels out the most restrictive part of the factory induction system by going around the battery tray instead of through it, I fitted mine after I got the cooler and it was immediately obvious that there was alot less restriction.

I was looking at PW stage2 cooler, and it looks like the pipework would be longer without their plenum, so more lag??? Don't get me wrong, the cooler looks awesome, right position and everything, I just think the plenum is a must if you go for that cooler.

Thoughts anyone???

Depends on how far he wants to go. I'm running 11's with just a wog cooler setup. Anymore power and I have to think about rods.

Experimenting for yourself is the best part about modifying, not being a sheep and going for the latest and greatest.

I'm not saying not to experiment but the pw stage 2 has been tried and proven as a good kit and well worth the money.

But it is good that forum members are bringin new ideas which is what this is all about

It would be good to get some sort of dyno results with this pipe in place instead of the crap standard pipe..what diameter is the pipe??

I haven't measeured, but it looks like the pipe is about 2.5 inch, which is the same diameter as the pwr intercooler piping
