I just picked up RDA slotted front and rear discs, EBC red front and EBC rear pads new complete for $490.00 seemed an ok price. I was thinking of getting them cryo treated I have heard good stuff about them. Used by alot of the Brute Ute racers. The car is back from paint next week so I will see how they go then.

I had the dba 5000's fitted today. I am impressed by the braking power and by the refinement that the discs add to the car.

I loved the factory premium brakes when they were standard, the braking power, the linearity, the feel, the fade resistance... and the relative light weight. The dba5000's take many of the good points about the factory premiums and make them even better. The dba5000's are even smoother and even more linear than the factory premiums. The dba's are also some 1.5 kg lighter per disc than the factory fit units; you can feel that difference in the the steering and in the suspension.

Supposedly the dba's cool (have in effect a thermal capacity) some 20% better than standard vane tyoe discs, those familiar with the facotry premiums would be aware that this is not something that can be put to the test on a public road.

The Territory front brakes certainly fit with 17" rims but I'm not so sure the Territory Turbo brakes do as the Territory Turbo runs 18" rims (even the spare I believe).

Having used the factory Premium Brake Package on my two XR6t's and now my F6, its clear that anything more than a couple of hard stops sees a big reduction in performance, even when I upgraded the rears to the Territory package with DS2500 Ferodo all round. If you are serious about strong repeatable fade free brake performance, nothing I have driven bar the Factory Brembos have proven to be much chop. I'd love to sample the AP/Wilwood products that are available. Damn it, you're trying to pull up close to two tonnes of Ford and the factory offerings have proven barely adequate time and again. Just my experiences with my vehicles guys... I wish I had a lazy$5-6k for some real stopping power, you know, that face on the dashboard lock up the inertia reel type of retardation... Mal K :roflmbo:
