Overboost ?

I did a service to the T on the weekend just the usual oil,oil filter,petrol filter,coolant,turbo filter,throttle body plus I changed the hose that runs from the turbo to the intercooler as the heat from the turbo had made the end hard and cracked which meant it was leaking air.Now instead of the usual 5-6 psi boost I'm getting 10-12 psi and when it hits 12 psi it drops to 10 but doesn't loose any power or go into limp mode. I have spoken to ford and the first guy had never heard of a T with overboost so wasn't much help so went some where else and booked in for Thursday . Is it ok to drive till then.Also the car is stock except the cai

Just drive it off boost until you get it sorted out ... It is probably leaning out!

Leaning out will not cause overboost. that's a strange one, generally the ford ECU would get on top of anything over standard set boost. Good Luck

I just noticed with mine tonight that when it changes between gears it actually goes from 4ish psi up to 7psi? Once its grabbed the next gear its back to 4ish psi. Dunno if that's normal?

It turned out that vacume hose to the watsegate switch was some how kinked

Yes mate.

My actuator is hairy fairy like that.It runs a max of 4 psi the changes on a upshift into second and then down to 4 again.
