So far its fairly straight forward. Anyone got any thoughts on these things, I didint really know much about the thing, just bought what was recomended, a Navman F20. What sold me was the fact it lights up blue alongside the dashboard. So for all I know, ive probably bought the cheapest crapiest brand and model, but it still looks good and suits the car.Is it the end of street directories??I.B. Ive heard that groups of crooks go looking round the carparks and beaches for them in cars and then knock them off. Its sounds like the days of cd players in your cars and detachable face plates to combat the theft of them. Primary use will be GPS, but I liked the fact that I can run multiple navigation application on in plus the fact it is a PDA with WiFi and Bluetooth also has its perks. So far MioMap and TomTom and works a treat.Main reason for getting was for the Euro trip in a couple of months Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/35701-in-car-gps/#findComment-542701 Share on other sites
XR64T Are we there yet? Donating Members 703 Member For: 21y 8m Gender: Male Location: Sydney, NSW Posted 10/06/07 10:40 AM Share Posted 10/06/07 10:40 AM Garmin Nuvi here as well, very happy with it.The bluetooth is a great feature as you can even call the POI directly from the Nuvi as most have the phone number stored. Excellent for picking up the take away on the way home from work, you can even tell them exactly what time you will be there to pick it up.
