June 7, 200719 yr #1 I modded my blow off value today removing the return air hose plugging the hole and putting a filter on the blow value and also sprayed some wd40 into the boost solenoid as has been done by many ppl on here only problem now my car feels like its missing at high revs and loses power any ideas why and to fix it and has anybody else had this problem doing either of these things
June 7, 200719 yr #2 Hey mate,I did the same BOV mod last week without any dramas. Just recheck your work that you haven't got any vaccuum leaks/check all hoses in the area you were workn. I've seen a few people on here have had similar issues. See how ya go, if not I'm sure some others will post soon.I modded my blow off value today removing the return air hose plugging the hole and putting a filter on the blow value and also sprayed some wd40 into the boost solenoid as has been done by many ppl on here only problem now my car feels like its missing at high revs and loses power any ideas why and to fix it and has anybody else had this problem doing either of these things

June 7, 200719 yr #4 Do you know what boost it is running now??? Could have dirt jamming the valve open and running boost to high.chris
June 10, 200719 yr #5 Author I have no idea what boost its running now feels about the same as befor doin anything though I have put the blow off value back to stock and it still has the same problem and also sounds like its venting have no idea why only thing is now the engine light is on does anybody have any ideas why think ill take it back to ford on tuesday and just tell them I never touched anything just started doin it they shouldnt be able to tell I touched anything would they as long as everything is put back the way it was
June 10, 200719 yr #6 Maybe you have put the hoses on wrong or you have knocked a hose off... Check very carefully as the problem you have explained could become a major one very quickly... If you have hooked the boost solenoid the wrong way round you may blow the motor.....Check all your hoses..!!!!
June 10, 200719 yr #7 Author im 100 percent certain I put the hoses back on the boost solenoid correctly because I only removed one hose at a time to avoid doin that
June 10, 200719 yr #8 Check the hoses from the manifold, there are some vacuum hoses there that can make it run like crap. There is a small fitting that has some 1/4 inch hoses on it, one is almost underneath, check them also
June 10, 200719 yr #9 Does it only miss and lose power at high revs? What about cruising round town, everything AOK?What sort of revs are we talking when it starts to go unhappy?
June 10, 200719 yr #10 Author thanks anything else u reckon I should look for ill have to do it tomorrow because its pissing rain here I still have 2 years or more of ford warranty u think I should just take it back to them and tell them to fix it I just wont drive anywhere untill then
