Thought I might throw an idea out to you guys.

My current arrangement will soon be coming to a close, which leaves me in the position of looking around for various forms of self employment.

Anyone got any ideas on things I could look at?

Have been browsing the franchises and so far, im not impressed.

I don't know your strengths, weaknesses, or skills, so that's a hard call to make. All I can say is find something and do it. There's nothing more satisfying than doing a job to make yourself richer, not someone else. If you look at the 'crust' thread (which is a phrase that leaves me quite in the dark) it explains what my Wife and I do as a home business.

I liketo dire my dirt bike, but somehow I dont think I can get paid for that

Im open to ideas as I dont want to limit myself to what I already know.

Besides work is work, not play so im not fussed their either. im aware that when you do things that you enjoy every day that it can take the fun out of them later.

im stuck just north of melbourne ( 1 hr approx drive to cbd ) due to ex and two kids , so unfortunatley I cannot relocate.

Im told that becoming a cook or a gardner will earn you quite good money.

I get bored easily and since I lost my licence I have been buying written off car's, (Ba=BF xr8's) and parting them out. If your patient you can make good money, I only sell the majour items like wheel's, trim, icc, diff and engine and still make good money. The rest I scrap.

I also buy repairable writeoff's & buy all the part's, mostly used. Then strip down as much as I can and send it to a panel beater to get finished. The last car I done was a BF xr6 n/a and I made around 8k profit, I was lazy and held onto for about 4 months before I started on it but still made good money. I have another one atm that iv'e got nearly all the parts for.

Both require money to start with and patience but you can turn a good profit, I work full time and do this when im not being lazy and still make good money.
