Esky is doing a great job for those guys up in the north but what us victorians and tasmaians, Wakefield might be a little but too far north to convince the mrs's ,well I have been interested in doing this for a while and what beeter way to run in a new xr6turbo.... The only variables are where when and who prolly gonna need around 10+ people to keep the costs down, Where any where who is cam's covered eg philip island , sandown . Calder is not cams any more I dont think but if any1 else knows different let me know. When up to you guys open to suggestions. Let me know I am going to be doing a bit of phone tag with cams and various tracks over the next couple weeks , this is a first for setting up a race day so any ideas or suggestions will be greatfull , I dont know how you fell but I would prefer to run laps individually like qualifying as these vehicles arnt cheep.....

I'd be interested. The running laps like qualifying sounds like a sensible idea.

What would each person need to have to participate, (besides a car :D ),would a special CAMs licence be required and how would insurance and warranty be affected. ;)

This is a follow up on this message in the mean time I have been in discussions with Sandown, Philip Island and Calder Park if we were to host event our selves there would be a large initial cost... I have been discussions with UDRIVEVIC.COM who host track days for there formula FORD at calder park . My question to him was that would he be able to host our event and be able to run our own cars.. The event will consist of a full racecraft training day with sprint events. We are looking to putting a date together for a saturday or sunday in the next couple months. Cost's around 250 - 300 dpepends on numbers which include instructors teaching you adavnced braking techniques and how to drift though corners at high speeds obviously it will be up to personal preferance and all ideas will be taken on . FULL Race suits and helmets will be provided and ambulance and marshes will be supplied as a saftey critera which has to be met... I would love to hear some feed back on the day andI think that Harsen was mentioning that he could organise some ford murchendise guys to come out...

If any one is interested and require more information hang on as I am getting there representive sending me out a info pack with a timetable through out the day

Event will run 9-4

Hope this is a help and looking forward to your replys

I also think you will find Winton is cheaper, however (I can't recall which days) they are normally open to all classes of vehicles.

I can't remember the cost involved but think it is around the $150 (might actually have been cheaper than that) per vehicle.

It's been a while thought, so my memory is a bit scetchy!!!!
