Just wondering if anyone has ordered a ripcurl ute? I ordered mine last week of feb, and was told this week and now it looks like it might not make it before frigging easter.

Anyone else with del dates? I'm going mad waiting. Just had to pay rego on my trade because of the wait.

If they have a delivery date written on the contract of sale you can get out of the contract and receive your deposit back as they are in breech of contract. Then perhaps you could shop around elsewhere for a yard that has one in stock. I get quite a few new fords in at work and have not heard anything of a delay in delivery for falcon utes.

Yeah, I know I can get out of it but for once, the salesman is doing his best! Already given me some freebies. When I was selling cars for a living sh*t like this used to happen to us, not much we could do just make sure we got it through pd as quick as possible and make up for it with some freebies if the customer is good. I've been really impressed with this guy so I am gonna stick by him for a bit longer, but I'm getting pretty hungry for that drive! :welcome2:

I'm surprised they couldn't find one sitting on a lot somewhere, from memory you didn't have any major options.

Six weeks is a fairly standard wait time for a custom built one though....probably not what you want to hear sorry!

Well according to the salesman... its built and awaiting shipment, then its into PD so detail, plates, paint protection, tint, fuel, not sure if they fit the mats, ipod thingy and scuff plates there or at factory.

He seems to think he will have a firm date by tomorrow arvo. I rocked up today to seem him in my work van and said 'look what I'm forced to drive!!', he laughed and said he would do what he can.

Paint protection and tint would add a day or two, the rest of the stuff is dealer fit but shouldn't hold it up at all.

Where abouts are you getting it from?

Hehe, true.

When I was working at Expensive Daewoo at newstead, I had a customer coming in to pick up his car in the afternoon, and that monring when the car was getting sorted, an apprentice started up the car in gear and put it straight into a wall.

When they called me over to the workshop I could not do anything but laugh.
