Good old Ozzie Park heading south right??? Ive almost been done there many a time - its a good spot for revenue raising that's for sure !!!!!!!

So that's a regular spot is it? Odd, there's not even a donut shop nearby.

yeh I see the fuzz there quite often, usually sittin in the car with a radar and donut pack

haha as soon as I read the description in the first post I knew the location. Yeah, that's a ba$tard of a spot because there's little distance between the 60 and 100 signs.

Shame there wasn't a truck behind you. You could then say that the truck was the larger radar reflecting object.

Over a year ago I got done about 200 metres off a freeway into a 100kph zone, doing 120kph, near Newcastle.

It was just after midnight; 12:40 a.m; not a car in sight.

It took him 5 minutes to catch me; to this day I have no idea where he was hiding… somewhere deep in the bush off the main road.

B*st*rd cop did not did tell me that it was 40 minutes into a 5 day XMAS double demerit period, and 6 points to go with it. I thought the double demerit period was starting 24 hours later.

Sure it sucks! You’ll be more careful next time.

Brian

You may have been able to argue that one, if the copper loses sight of you (and I'd say that if it took him 5 minutes to catch up he would have) unless they have recorded down your number plate then they can not prove it was in fact you.

The penalty was a 5 point fine for doing 99 in a 60.

As I said, I was cruising along, coming onto the freeway, which is posted at 100..

And please spare me the wisecracks about doing only 100 on the freeway - I was way early for a meeting and in no hurry (and I'm that close to a total humour failure).

In Victoria, 39 over the limit, you would have been walking for a month or two. :nono:

I thought the new law was 35 and over??

I just received a $50.00 in the mail from my visit to Perth in October 06. They said I was doing 77 in a 70 zone.

Because it is no points I probably won't bother doing anything about it, but talk about being picky. I'm sure I could argue that the rental car's speedo was reading 70. I thought the general rule for cameras was to allow for a 10% speedo acuracy?

I'll send them a letter to dispute it, but will no doubt still have to pay.
