Injector Problem

Featured Replies

Got my capa flash tuner a while ago now. went to amberley autos to get a custom tune and they said they could not tune the car as the injectors were at max flow already. so they jkust said put it on the 8 psi generic tune to be safe until I get injectors. has this happened to anyone else. so now I need to get some bigger injectors fitted etc. not chasing a huge amount of power would be happy with 250rwkw. now it has got me thinking should I just sell the car all together and go buy a tornado ute. ahhhhh! what size injectors should I get and where from. anyone selling any???? any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can't say that I've heard of a problem like that before but the tornado ute sounds like a great idea :roflmbo:

I have the standard injectors and had a custome tune done for 10psi using 98RON. Getting 235rwKW. Also have CAI and K&N Filter.

I, too, was told by the tuner that I would need larger injectors to get more power

Check out www.capa.com.au because they have prices injectors on their site starting from $570. Installation extra.

G'day mate. I am currently at 246rwkw and have had a CAPA edit and custom tune at 10psi. My tuner pulled it back to 10 because at 12 there was not enough fuel being fed in. I have bought some injectors, along with some other gear to bring me up to approx 300rwkw in the next couple of weeks.

To me it sounds like you should be able to acheive 250rwkw without the need for bigger injectors. Mind you, my car is also an auto. Bigger numbers are common for manuals.

Stock injectors are fine for 250wkws... sounds like the tuner is playing it safe which is good to see...

What power is it making on 8psi? Should be close to 250 if all the other parts on the car are in good condition

Firstly, Nizpro and the wog are getting more power from standard injectors, and it aint lean.

Secondly give Headsex a PM, he can supply deka squirters, cheaper than anyone, and will be more than enough to get more than 250rwkws.

My car has stock injectors, and has around 250rwkws, and runs 12.5's allday everyday. Try another tuner if you like. There are plenty more than just 3 mentioned in this thread. :spoton:
