Lifetime Members 306 Member For: 22y 2m 8d Gender: Male Location: Geelong Posted 16/05/03 08:52 AM Share Posted 16/05/03 08:52 AM let me guess the windscreen fogs up quick smart. you want a reason for it? The reason it does this is cause by using the air conditioning you are drawing the moisture out of the air and it sticks on the air conditioning condensor behind the dash. when you turn off the ac sysatem with the recirc mode on its not drawing in any air from out side to even the temperature of the air cond system which would stop the fog on the screen. The temp at the a/c condensor can be below 0 degrees at times! With the difference in temp not being removed it then causes the air still around the air conditioning system to be very cold while everything else like the windscreen it trying to warm up. Instant no see screen! fun if you dont mean to do it. previous versions of the falcon used to go to fresh mode when turned off but that can cause cold drafts in the car which people don't like! this is all basically right! Mals BA XR6T Member 381 Member For: 22y 5m 2d Location: Sydney Posted 17/05/03 07:25 AM Author Share Posted 17/05/03 07:25 AM OK I posted that msg on Friday... it was a long weekBasically what I'm talking about is if you have the AC set to blow on the front window, say to demist it, and then switch the AC off, it switches to fresh air. So if you switch it to recycled it switches the AC back on!You can't just simply turn the AC off and turn it from fresh air to recycled, so you have no air coming in or blowing at all, without turning the demist setting to something else.Do I make sense... it must be me, Fords AC is not idiot proof, or it was, but I'm just a better idiot! Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/2962-air-con-controls/#findComment-23035 Share on other sites
