Posted 26/10/06 01:10 PM Posted 26/10/06 01:10 PM (edited) Been meaning to get these up since last week - but been too busy following the run in schedule. The new BF2 is here - very happy indeed, and I still cannot believe the refinement between BA1 and now. They may look similar - but there are many changes. So - here starts Team Octane. I keep thinking someone left the lights on in the garage.Dam teenagers have already nicknamed it "The Jaffa".jg Edited 26/10/06 01:13 PM by Johnny G

So apart from the gearbox, explain whats more refining about it than the ba dude.. The lux pack was available in ba as I have those same seats in my car too.. Just wish they looked a bit more different..

Posted 26/10/06 01:55 PM Author Posted 26/10/06 01:55 PM Chop - yeah, the gearbox is just a blowaway; been playing at gathering and losing points on the run in. Novel stuff - it's almost too clever. No need for a third pedal now..... NVH is way, way down - far less intrusiveness at cruise speeds, and way less bump crash. Don't know if the bushes have changed - but suspect that's where it's at. Noticed today the amount and type of sound deadening material in the engine bay firewall area is dramatically different. Brakes actually work now too, the adoption of the teri stoppers is like WOW. Some nice touches as well, like the fold down centre armrest with cupholders in the rear seat, netting used for the seat pocket holders in the rear of the front seats. Lux pack premium sound instrument cluster is still basically the same - and still beats the out of the VE - which I'll bet those poor sods are still trying to work out (in between visiting GMH service centres for recalls)..... dials and switches and rockers and lord knows what. And still the best steering wheel controls on an Aussie vehicle. Anyone know why the exhaust note is different? Sounds nothing like my BA1..... is it a cat change? May get the verniers out tomorrrow and check... I could go on....ps - and the dam in the background in the other photo's is North Pine (North of Brisbane) - currently at 26%. Bring on the rain......
