Expect an increase of up to 8kW at the rear wheels. The Big Mouth™ Throttle Body is factory-assembled with bearings, streamlined shaft, butterfly and gears. Fitting is simple and full instructions are supplied. Easily put back to standard if required. Available in Billet for RRP $725.00.Straight from their website Edited 10/08/06 08:09 AM by XXXR6T Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27604-throttle-body/#findComment-419383 Share on other sites

If this is the case, wouldn’t the same result be achieved by modifying the sensitivity of the electronic throttle control.Given that there are more restrictions in the diameter of the inlet piping, I don’t see how the larger throttle body will make a difference to peak power or torque. Added to that we are talking about forced induction, where the flow through the throttle body is not a factor in making power, even at most upgraded power levels (IMO).Maybe there is a power level where the restriction in the throttle body, or its larger diameter to allow a higher air flow becomes a factor, but only when it becomes the focal point of restriction in the overall plumbing.Comments, as I'm keen to see an explanation!Brian. My understanding, given that I did query Nizpro about it over 2 years ago, is that Nizpro had done some testing on mildly modified cars, and found it was not worth the effort, and that was when the product was having problems. It may now make a difference to my car at the current level of modification, so I don't rule out trying this product, but only on a money back condition if it makes little or no difference. Anything less than 10-20rwkw is just not worth it.Brian Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27604-throttle-body/#findComment-419830 Share on other sites
