26/06/06 03:04 AM26/06/06 03:04 AM #21 Glad it was a simple one.... I had a nasty noise comming from the rear of a toyota once and thought it was the diff or uni joints. Wasnt till my left rear wheel passed me that I realised it was just loose wheel nuts ←What kind of Toyota was that FourFan?We had exactly the same thing happen in an old HJ47 Cruiser near Augathella. Thought we had a flat tire until the left rear wheel overtook us down the right hand side! Interesting occurence! Lumpy
26/06/06 03:36 AM26/06/06 03:36 AM #22 Author well, while I was out "testing" my current tune for Simon to see how the boost was behaving, I decided to put 40psi in the tyres. Unfortunately I had most of my fun before putting the air in so the tyres were already nice and pressurized and were sitting at 39psi.. so I put a couple more in, and yeah, the car feels even better. When it cools down a bit, I'll go put a true 40psi in, so then when they heat up it'll probably sit around 45psi.. should be good then

29/06/06 04:27 AM29/06/06 04:27 AM #30 is 40psi recommended on the standard 17". anyone have any ideas.←I recently had a set of the factory dunlops SP3000As thrown onto our auto BA Mk1 T (17" rims) and the guys at Beaurapaires said to run 38-40 PSI in the front and 36 PSI in the back. Seems to work okay. Just took it back to them for a rotation and alignment after 10,000kms and no wear issues. 40 all round sounds like a good compromise to me.
