check the simple things first,

Tyre pressure? don't be shy to run em abit higer than normal, specially for high speed driving 42 PSi is pretty good.

Tab.. I hope that it wasn't twisted.. if it was I'd be expecting a pay out figure!! and when the accident occured it was insured for 42k.. now its dropped to 32k. So they better pay up if it is that

ms700 - that would be great. My car too has 19s and is lowered. I dont mind if I dont get to drive yours.. if you've driven a good variety I'm sure you'll pick up any problems in mine as soon as you hop into it. It really might just be me being paranoid... I know that the ride got a little harsher after I lowered it, and got the wheels etc.. but I don't remember it being this bad, and all over the road.

I've thought about it Jeff... really considering a BF phoon.. but I still got too much owing on this to really make that happen just yet..

Sixfan, good point. I will check them tomorrow first thing. I didn't really think of the tyre pressure, considering they "should" have done it.. then again they should have done a lot of things

I checked the air pressure, and yes, it was low. 3 tyres had 30psi, and the new one which was replaced had 24psi dont these f*ckheads know anything???? so, I put them all up to 35psi, and the car feels 90% better! I think the other 10% is me being paranoid. I really have to take it for a good drive on various types of road.. the one I took it on is rather bumpy, and slanted from all the trucks

I suppose its my fault for not checking, and then jumping to conclusions.. but when everything else has been screwed, I suppose I just thought the worst automatically!!

You might find that even 35psi is a bit on the low side - I've only got 18" rims but run my tyres at 40psi all round, and up to 42psi for longer drives. Pays to have a decent tyre pressure gauge too, the ones at the servos generally suck.

I might try 40psi bugster. I was told 35 was pretty optimum from the guys when I got the wheels put on.. 40 might make the ride a little too harsh?? I'll try it and see how it goes though.

I can't believe that the repair place can put on a new tyre and not put the proper air pressure in it or at least something half decent for a low profile tyre

Like Buggy I run 40psi on standards - it reaaly does make a difference mate.

Glad it was a simple one.... I had a nasty noise comming from the rear of a toyota once and thought it was the diff or uni joints. Wasnt till my left rear wheel passed me that I realised it was just loose wheel nuts

I'll put 40psi in today and see how it goes.. but with 35 profile rubber on 19s, and lowered, I usually feel most bumps as it is! It'll be worth trying though, as I've never had that much pressure in these before.

If having 40psi makes as much a difference as going from 30 to 35, then that'll be awesome.. I can slap myself in the face for the amount of time I've driven with 35psi

is 40psi recommended on the standard 17". anyone have any ideas.
