erm....

just one question to clarify?

Do you have a manual?  or Auto.

If you have the auto, Put your LEFT  foot on the brake...

HARD...

Just slip it into performance mode. (that's slide to the left without moving up or down)

Now bring the rpm up (without moving off) to about 1800~2000 rpm.

You'll really need to have the left foot on the brake pedal quite hard.

When ready to go, just flatten the right foot, whilst releasing the left.

Your mate will be wondering what the F%#k.....  as you literally leave him in tyre smoke.

Let the auto do the changes..

There is NO turbo lag with the auto when driven like this!

erm....  bear in mind that doing these starts on a repetitive basis is not good for your vehicle's health.

Now if you have a manual.......

well, then you'll probably get beaten! :tease:

tom

:fool::spoton:

just remember... if its a stock BA, the manual is actually faster in stock trim :fool:

ahhhh so that's what they told you did they. :spoton:

Every stock auto I've bbeen against I've won, it doesn't appear to be an advantage with an auto until some mods start happening...

I'd agree.

My first XR6T was an auto and one day at a series of lights a guy in a manual gave me a nod and we were off.

The first set of lights I beat him by a good car length.

The next light we were pretty much even.

And the third lights, he had his launch teqhnique perfected and he got a half car lenght and slowly crept away, more then making up what he lost on each change.

SO a propperly driven STOCK manual will out perform an auto. :msm:
