Xr5t Intercooler

One of our members is fitting the Radtec intercooler next week with one of the boards favourite tuners lending a hand, he already has the bluefin product (like a capa flash unit) which does wonderings to power, it'll be interesting to see what it puts out on the dyno and then maybe with a little encouragement he might run it down @ calder. Probably see if we can come down with the XR6T crew next time it's all happening.

There is also another member looking at doing things using home grown tech for the most part so some interesting things going on.

I'll keep yall posted on how it all goes.

They'll never be able to produce the power of their big XR6Ts brothers, but I tell u what, their corner to corner performance is pretty awesome.

Still, Ford need to get more fecking XR5Ts into the country.

Really? I thought I read somewhere that it was AWD? I guess if the Golf GTi (and other Euro manfacturers) can do it, so can Ford.

the intercooler on the Focus is small. alot of the guys here in the UK stick nice big intercoolers in there and they work MUCH better. esp when you turn the boost up.

by the way what kind of BHP are you guys running with these?? think 300bhp is about the norm here.

the Volvo S40 T5 is prity much the same car (same engin, and chasie) its AWD however its really awquaed, not as nicer drive as the XR5 Turbo. however converting it to RWD Could be done. or a lim silp dif... but all in all its a fantastic car.
