April 4, 200620 yr #11 $995 for 3 years, sounds steep but worth it. Baring in mind from 3 to 6 years of age the car is likely to have some problems and more so in these years, then from new to 3 years old if you all get what I mean.
April 4, 200620 yr #13 Author The best two options is either nrma end of warranty check and they will list the problems for you or an indepent mechanic who could check it over for you and than you go to ford with the list of faults and have them fix it.Ian<{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... Thanks Jethro, er sorry, I meant Ian ... I think that is the most helpful thing you've ever said on this forum. I'm flabbergastered ... April 4, 200620 yr #16 Definately an NRMA inspection, depending on what state your in. This is an absolute must and piece of mind for about $185 I think. They are experts at finding problems and will advise you of what will be covered under warranty. Also consider an extended manufacturer warranty from Ford, only if its wort it. Dont use anyone elses, like Wynn's, as they are not worth the paper they are written on.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I don't think the extended warrenty covers nearly 1/4 of the things the original one does. There is a reason why its limited to 100,000kms. They know many components wont last, its the same for all cars. Mitsubishi's 10 year warrenty doesn't cover engine, gearbox, drivetrain or half the electrical components, rust, or anything made of rubber. What does that leave? Bugger all. Hardly worth it. $995 would go a long way to repairing many worn out bits and pieces.

April 4, 200620 yr #19 Have your Radiator checked, or inspect yourself, mine was replaced before warrantee ended, as well as another club members XR6T.They have had some problems with them. They are XR8 size, quite costly.
April 4, 200620 yr #20 One fog lamp has stopped working recently, so I have to put her in for that anyway ... Are your arms painted on with Ken's mechanical aptitude, I'm surprized he even noticed....Don't listen to these horrible people Kenteth, they'll have you searching for striped paint and left handed screw drivers if you don't watch out. As for your warranty would you notice if anything was different anyhows
