18/03/06 05:16 AM18/03/06 05:16 AM #1 Been researching how I can prevent my Terry (when it arrives) from becoming a turtle and a mock for the million Toyota Patrol owners that frequent Moreton/Straddie where I intend to take it upon arrival. The Golden one has fitted a King Springs lift kit of app. 32mm increase to his old 4 speed auto workshop hack.In conjunction with this or similar product I wish to add taller bags on the stock rims, "legal wise" 15mm diameter is the max I'm told, but bugger that I'm wanting double that or as much as possible to help me in my cause to rid Qld's Islands of the Jap Crap mind numbingness we currently endure.Any helpful help will be appreciated, all other help will be graciously accepted and deposited in the wanka bin
18/03/06 05:53 AM18/03/06 05:53 AM #2 Is there an aftermarket air bag adjustable suspension kit for the Terry. This would be ideal jack it up for off road and drop it down for cruzing ala Landrover Discovery 3.
18/03/06 11:25 AM18/03/06 11:25 AM #3 Regardless of the vehicle, after one look at the driver there'll be plenty of mockery .......not another wannabe 4wd wanka on the roads

18/03/06 11:58 AM18/03/06 11:58 AM #5 Scotty,I am no expert in this field, but I would speak to an expert before you do anything. The Terry will be fitted with Driver Assist technology and playing with the wheels and the suspension will affect this system greatly, it could also make the car undrivable. The reason I say this is that fittment of raised or altered ride dynamics will send the DAT computer into overload as it is not calibrated to the changes. It would be worth doing homework before you spend the $$$'s
18/03/06 01:19 PM18/03/06 01:19 PM #6 Not to mention the safety associated with making it higher, cars that ride higher usually are less stable, if it was me id be leaving it as it is... If that doesnt do it for you then go buy a real 4wd, eg Cruiser or Patrol, the Territory is good but its off road ability is limited.

Territory has Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
