Hey Guys,

Well its time to retire my modified VY SS and I have been considering a BF Typoon over the simple upgrade to a LS2 Clubby.

I work in a coal mine central queensland so the availability to shop around locally is impossible, I have previouisly just called, done the order and simply flew down and drove home.

I am chasing a Rapid BF Typhoon 6 speed with 6 pot Bremobs and 19", what price should I be expecting? I see from both sides of the fence fpv and hsv no-one is paying retail these days so really just looking for a platform to talk to with the dealers.

Any insight or information would be greatly appreciated.

$66.510 Plus $1250 if you want the auto.

Pricing excludes dealer delivery, statutory charges and Luxury Car Tax.

I would normally suggest calling four dealers and get them biding for your business (Try Melbourne) but in the Typhoons case it may be a little difficult Ford don’t need to discount them at the moment especially while you can still get run out BA Phoonys.

If you are interested, here in Adelaide there are two BA Phoons run out for $52000 plus on roads, however I recon you could screw them for the Brembo upgrade as they have been in the dealer for two months now (Maughan Thiem Ford Port Adelaide) and I think they want them gone.

Your first problem will be they don’t do the RAPID anymore.

It has been withdrawn from the color list due to paint matching problems so sadly no more Rapid.

Id say if you want the six pots, Auto, leather, steering, 19” rims you will be a tad over $70k

Rapid is still listed as an FPV Typhoon colour still avaliable so not sure whats going on there.

Simply ring your local dealer and ask him to see if he can order you one

The answer will be NO unless he is a mushroom.

The web site will take its usuall 6 months to be updated :tease::blush: Ford dont move to fast when it comes to informing the public sadly.

Think hard about that manual before you buy.....

I had the six speed manual F6 for 8 months and now run 2 autos and its Game over for the manual IMOP.... at first it was ..um ... well yeah... this auto is OK... but 3 days later and some testing and playing araound it was just mind blowing how good it it and I'd NEVER step back into the manual now...

It also is at least 1/2 sec quicker.

Yeh I must admit I am still in the manual phase, the car is only used on the weekend and holidays so its not much of a concern.

My currently T56 with a ripshift is a good combo, I am sure a sutible package is available for the manul box in the BF.

Although the choice of having a auto 6 speed might be worth a test drive, it has defnately been a hit judging by the owners recommendations on this site.

I see reasle with the 6 spd auto being better too, alot of city execs atc wont drive a manual, but will an auto, older couple with abith of cash, he wants a sports car, but she wants an auto.

my opinion only, I will be grabing a BF auto tornado as soon as I see one at the right dollars (used)
