Premo brakes are VERY handy... my car struggles to pull up after a 1/4 mile run! fades and shudders like you wouldnt believe.

If you are looking at more than 2k for them though, talk to bcr01 and he will get you a good deal.

Cool,

I'm thinking of getting the lux. pack and 18" alloys. Anything else I'd want to consider? (I want to keep it stock for at least 3 years).

the chunky sports steering wheel is a winner too..

its an aftermarket thing you can get. Contact awc (www.awcinfo.com) , they do all sorts of premium sound upgrades. They can even upgrade standard sound to premium sound. :spoton:

I didn't get the sports steering wheel caus I didn't reckon it could be $600 better than the standard one. but after driving a mates XR8 ute with one I wish I had. :tonguepoke:

I ended up with the sports seats and premium sounds in my car- both great, would get those every time - but didnt get the centre console/dual zone climate control and clock. (I actually ordered leather seats - but ended up with the sport seats as they cocked up the delivery, and all NZ XRs have Premium sound).

I have put a gauge pod in, so the clock would have been discarded anyway (and have no clock displayed anywhere else either if using the custom pack), and I either have the A/C on or off - dont think id use a auto temp control, and kind of prefer the manual knobs. Although - the look of the console is nicer on the custom pack.

I was given a Momo wheel, which is nice, but I think the chunky sports wheel is better.

Other things I got which may or may not be part of the bargaining price - Floormats, Mudspats, Boot liner, Kickplates, Auxilary sound lead. I got these through a friend in parts department - which was significantly cheaper than through dealers.

If you are getting a BF, the brakes are better than the BA standard brakes anyway, so Premium Brakes may not be required.

18s - some people like them - but make sure you do (have a look at some on a car) - I dont think they are as nice a design as the 17s, they weigh more, cost more for tyres, and are an expensive option (compared to buying aftermarket ones).

Best of luck with your purchase - they are great cars

I'd agree with this too. It's the only option my Typhoon doesn't have and I really wish it did. :tonguepoke:

On a positive note, the wife likes the chunky wheel as well, so she wants it too. :spoton:

The iDesign Luxury Interior package is listed as containing premium sound, leather XR sports seats as well as Premium ICC (Interior Command Centre).

Can someone explain what the differences between the premium and standard ICC are and whether it is worth the extra $1000.

Cheers
