Having said that... what am I supposed to do/say? I have his mobile number, what do I just say hi, this is the guy who's car you damaged the other day, just letting you know it is gonna cost you $xxx and it is payable to myself, unless you wish to claim it through insurance???

I havent had to chase anyone up before, only accident I was involved in was dealt with other parties insurance company.

Oh, and any recommendations for panel beaters north of the river in Perth?

Thanks

Steve

Go see Bruce at meltham motors, they have done all the panel and paint on all my cars, they recently painted my bobtail wing and matched it perfectly without having the car :gooff:

Words along the line that:

Hi, I am the guy with the dented car, remember me?

Quote is for $xxx, just offering you the opportunity to remedy the damage without the need to go through your insurance.  Oh, and BTW, I don't have an excess on my insurance so there is no skin off my nose however, I would hate to see it affect your no claim bonus......

Just go through insurance mate, way less hassel for ya.

If he doesn't pay up, insurance will track him down.

I find that if the offending party ignores your letters demanding payment, you simply change stationery....    Instead of writing you letter of demand on paper, write it on a brick and hand delivery it. Bricks should never be posted or placed in the mailbox, they should be thrown for best effect.

Works like a champ.....

:laughing:Love it!
