January 11, 200620 yr #1 Guys, you may find this as "RICE" but I've seen these 'tinted' tail lights on an 04 build, Envi BA Series 1 XR8 Sedan. It belongs to a good friend of mine and he's asking the question as well. They look brilliant. Hoping someone knows something about them as I really want to chase down a set. Would look the duck's on any sedan and any colour combo. The car was a Bryan Byrt Ford demo.....No special order although the car was fully optioned up. My friend has inquired about them as others are interested, including me and the same old answer is "I don't know"! These are not sprayed pr dipped, no tint film on the inside. It's the plastic (or what ever) itself. I know, I know!!! , I'll get a pic of them next time I'm over there. Just wanted to ask the question. They are the same as the BA Series Sedan tail lights only the plastic is darker. Maybe they were an experimental release. Custom order from who ever manufactures the lights for Ford or a crook batch that look hot.Just thought I'd ask the question. Anyone know of such a release or where they could have come from?
January 11, 200620 yr #2 "Master G" on this forum has tinted lights..drop him a pm and let us know what u find out.
January 11, 200620 yr #3 Yeah I have had them tinted here are a couple of pics of them. Mine were done using a film similar to normal tinted windows and my friendly Ford Dealer 'Repaired' my broken tail lights last service. I also got the indicators before the front wheel arches done as well.RegardsM G

I might look into doing something like that but I wouldn't like to go so dark. These ones were somewhere in the middle of yours and the standard tail light and the fact that they were on this car without a special order. Just thought someone might have heard something and may be able to shed some light on where this mystery pair of tail lights came from. The fact that it's not tint film but "the plastic itself", hmmm, sounded inviting as it very well may be something ford were considering bringing out with a special release and there would not be that many around. hmm, big mystery.Monaro style Tail lights? Oh please!
January 11, 200620 yr #7 I had mine tinted a few months ago and have had PLENTY of very positive comments, requests for how/where to get em, had people ask at traffic lights and one guy left a card on the window asking how/where etc.,I got them removed, clear lacquered with 4-5 drops on black in the clear. Also painted straight over the chrome part too, loks factory shadow chrome now. Anyway, there's how I achieved the look and hope it helps.Cheers

January 16, 200620 yr #10 don't do what all the "e series" mutants do and buy that nightshades crap if you do.. trust me it will look tacky. If you want to get this done take it to a panel beater or something, and get it done professionally and glossy.
