Yep - hardcore. Think about cars almost as much as I think about sex.

Have just about every Wheels and Motor since 1970 something (and I'm only 35) and happily read any other car/4wd/streetmachine/etc.. car magazine.

Have an unfortunate ability to remember useless facts about all sorts of cars from the 60s onwards and rarely meet anyone with the same warped vehicular interests. I appreciate the virtues of a Peugeot 404 as much as the brute force of a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, be it Hemi or 440

Also love reading car classifieds, buying old cars, enjoying them for a year and selling them for the same price or more and browsing around smaller used car yards.

My wife regularly rolls her eyes at my car nuttiness and I'm now convincing her I need a ute for the upcoming building of a house. And all 3 of my kids, under 6, can spot and say "XR6 Turbo" from 300 yards.

Recreational.

I like to (and mostly have to) drive a lot. Therefore why not do it in style.

The Ford Cortina didn't do it for me. Neither did the Expensive Daewoo Gemini, Ford Escort, Mitsubishi Magna, Toyota Camry, Mitsubishi Express, Ford Econovan and Ford Laser. The Hyundai Excel was tough, and the Ford Futura was stylish and functional.

However, not until the XR6 Turbo, did I suddenly feel the need for sponsored clothing.

Boxer Shorts, Super 12 Jerseys, Sweatshirts....all with the Ford Logo.

Now if I could just find those XR6 Turbo condoms so that I can come really fast.

Pretty interested in most interesting cars.

Particularily Jags, Daimlers, Italian and German Exotica as well as all the old Muscle cars, whether they be aussie, yank, pommie, french or what-have-you.

Dont have the money to live, eat and breath it (anybody catch that WA Tarmac Targa on TV? I'd love to just do that for the rest of my life) but I read what ever I can, when ever I can, So I fall into the hardcore catergory.

I can talk about cars (and a bit about motorsport) all day long. For some reason I just remember numbers, whether it be power, 1/4 times, capacity etc.

I have great fun reading about, watching and driving cars. While it is a great passion to drive, it is just a car, because when I am done with this one, I will get another car...hopefully, at least as fun. Having said that, all my cars have been Fords...hmm.

Safe and happy driving...Dr Z. :gooff:
