Hi and welcome, being build no 294, I'd say that must be a May or June 05 built car. Did you get any options included for your 52K drive away ? leather, etc. Because if not then 52K is probably a little high. I pushed fairly hard and got a Sept 05 build with leather, sunroof, mats and tint for just under 54K and that's a new one.

I could have picked up a demo from the dealer the with leather but no roof, also in Rapid, I think it had about 1200kms on it for 48.5K , however all in all 52K is still a great price and is around a 10K discount on the car. Oh yeah that demo ended being sold to a mate of a mate.....I did tell him it was the car that the dealer let me have for a couple of hours by myself, but he wasn't to worried.

I'd like to know how many Rapid typhoons they built, anyone have any ideas ?

I'm in Perth as well (Mercury silver btw).  The salesbloke at Centre Ford was very clear that a K&N would invalidate the warranty

Couldn't agree more - it's completely unreasonable. But if you have a problem, I thought it was worth mentioning that you need to hide any mods, no matter how trivial, so they they can't weasel out of their warranty obligations.

My biggest gripe with Ford and mods is that main dealers will sell performance enhancing mods (exhausts etc) that invalidate the warranty..

Anyway wandering off topic - still waiting for the goods on what the K&N does -

Welcome there John. You must've nabbed that Rapid on the upper ramp with 48km on it. Nice looking ride that one. They (AHG) have sold at least three now in the past week. Mine, yours, and the white one that was there also at NuFord.
