Hi guys,

I have found a 2004 model XR6 Turbo sedan, 5 spd manual, 29000ks etc.

I can purchase the vehicle for $26500 :fool: but there is minor damage to the rear bar due to the owner's wife backing into garage. :spoton: Just small marks and scratches but none the less, there is existing damage there.

What is everyone's advice on purchasing the vehicle? How much would it cost to get the bumper fixed or a new one?

Cheers,

Dan

why dont they fix it and sell it for a bit more? I personally always get worried about owners selling cars with damages as why wouldnt they fix it and then sell it? This is my personal opinion and please do not take it as if I am trying to put you off from buying the car or anything.

Cheers for the advice. The car was advertised with $29900 on it and he said due to the damage he would sell it for $26500 and he needs to sell it for house repayments. Have contacted a friend in Sydney to see if he might go and have a look at it!

Cheers,

Take someone with u who knows what their looking for when it comes to the body work that way u will know if it has had anything done to it and if it has damage on the rear bar from his wife driving it my guess is there might be some other little things that might need attention as well. But if its just the rear bar that needs the repair it can be done relativly cheap say $280-$400 depending on how bad it is damaged so if its just that $ 26500 sound like a very good price.

I bought a 5 speed and wish I had either bought an auto or 6 speed because I plan to mod my car and the 5 speed has reliability issues when you start modifying.

But if you don't plan to modify your car then I should think a 5 speed XR6T would be fine, I love mine :spoton:

...he needs to sell it for house repayments.

That's what you want to hear as a buyer!

The seller has to off load the car and as quickly as possible.

Wave some cash in his face and it will be yours.
