Hi,

I have done a few mods to my turbo which is now getting 285rw.

The only thing I have done to the exhaust system is romve the centre muffler

and now want to do further mods on it but want to keep the bang for bucks in order.

My Q is. If I put a bigger cat in would this help me achieve a good result without having to put in a system that is going to cost around the $1500 mark.

My I suggest getting a dump pipe as well as the bigger cat. This will give you good gains and at a resonable price. Just make sure you get a cat that is proven to be a high flow unit rather something that says it's good but is not.

Yeah, that's why I didn't do it.

Get a hiflow cat, or leave it alone, not worth the trouble.

( Just thought the punching smiley face was a bit of fun ).

I'm in the land of the long white cloud and we have no law against not having a cat.

Would it be worth punching it, also would I have to get a retune?

Cheers

I would, but it free's up the exhaust that much, that you might have to get a retune because of boost spiking,

if you have a boost gauge, and you don't get any spikes then it should be ok, but it would be best to run it on a dyno for safety.
