Dont know if this is a repost.

But I saw on TV the other night that Shell will be selling 100 RON fuel at the bowser's soon.

It uses 5% Ethanol to achieve the extra 2 RON.

Now some people have said that Ethanol is bad for your car. I can see how its bad in older engines, but with the engines of today are being built to use up to 10% ethanol in them.

Whats everyones thoughts on this?

Seems like a good idea to me. Should make more hp due to the ethanol in the fuel but probably wont get as many k's from a tank. Will be interesting the price per litre they'll be charging.

I heard the Government tell us fuel with Ethanol will be cheaper, lets see how long before the Oil companies say " Remember, we are in charge not the government, so you will pay more now".
