16/11/05 01:45 PM16/11/05 01:45 PM #1 My car on a dynolog dyno shows 184 rwkw std.ran it today with the following. 3.5 straight through exhaust, walbro pump, sard 2 to 1 rising rate fuel pressure reg set at 4.5 bar(much more than that and the pump will have a hernia) 11 psi of boost , Manual t56. STANDARD INJECTORS. it made 233rwkw.Now the intresting bit. at wide open throtle between 4400- 5600 rpm the afrs rise shapley from constant 11.8 to 13.3 (grenade status) so my stock inj. hit 100% duty cycle at about 225rwkw and after that youve totaly lost control of them. oh and this dyno reads low compared to most. a friend of mine with a subby ran 188 rwkw on this dyno, and the day after with nothing changed ran 223rwkw on c&v performances dyno. so it does read low

17/11/05 08:58 AM17/11/05 08:58 AM #6 Author pardon me awkw. you know what I mean. just trying to work out how some of these tuning shops are getting safe afr's at 260 - 280 claimed rwkw with standard injectors on the xr6T. and pointing out how much differnce there is between dynos.that's why we race on the strip not on the dyno.hell even the bum dyno can tell 20 rwkw difference.
17/11/05 09:08 AM17/11/05 09:08 AM #7 I dont know why you should be out of fuel by 220 od, low dyno maybe, But I ran for a long time 266 rwkw with an xede and CAI, and a"hi flow " cat.12.5 down low 11.8 AFR up top, ute ran solid 12.8 @ 111-112 mph several times on stock dunlops and stock Auto.I think there are just too many variables, the GAs analizers, Dynos etc are open to interretation, a 12.3 afr on one dyno could read as 11.9 or 12.9 on another, it is more how the car drives, how the plugs look after a good belting etc that will tell you if your out of fuel.
